Safer Recruitment Training
 

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation works in and with schools and other education settings to address issues around sexual abuse including people who abuse in the context of their work and preventing abuse from taking place.

This work includes:-

  • The Department for Education (formally the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF)) uses LFF’s services in a variety of ways, primarily to provide individual assessments. This work is now taking place under the auspices of the Independent Safeguarding Authority. 
  • Following successful involvement in web based training for DCSF regarding safer staff recruitment; LFF helped design workshop materials and was involved in the delivery of training to such diverse organizations as Local Safeguarding Children Boards, independent schools.
  • LFF continues to assist in the review and development of the materials in the light of legislative changes. 
  • LFF is providing training to the new Independent Safeguarding Authority.
  • Conducting internet safety seminars in schools for students, parents and teachers.
